For 50 years, I was a drummer and sometimes lead vocalist for Vancouver's ultimate party-rockers, Sparkling Apple (their speciality: "drunk rock", which you had to be drunk to play and drunk to appreciate). Nowadays, furthering my tradition of musical life, yours truly is a podcasting/Internet radio DJ and graphic artist, with my own program entitled "The Captain Maniac Show" -- imaginative or what? Rather than subject listeners to one particular genre of music, typical presentations cover a wide spectrum of rock and roll, from 60s British Invasion to Rockabilly to 50s rockers to Psychedelic Oldies and all points in between. Although I've had no previous broadcasting experience, once I got the idea of wanting to do this in my head I decided that it was the right time in my life to set myself a challenge that would be both testing and enjoyable.

Craig fell in love with radio presenting over nine years ago and that passion started him on the road to getting on air with stations in Peterborough and Fenland, and now across the UK with the syndicated version of the show. He has presented many shows across the daytime schedule including Mid-Morning, Afternoons, and Drivetime. Irvin Cee has started his second DJ career 100% digital and plays more than ever before on his musical feeling. He practices "Controllerism", by using controllers he makes computers do exactly what and when he wants them to do in order to uplift the musical experience to new heights. No precompiled or edited sets, but music from the depths of his soul. Track choice, order and structure are more important than genres so Irvin plays a broad spectrum of Deep House, House, Tech House, Techno and Hard Techno.

Gary grew up north of Watford in a town called Sheffield. He has always loved music, especially in the heady days of punk, new wave and The Sheffield Sound. The first short-lived band he played in was called "The Crap". The second was with the band "Eddie Riff and the four skins", which consisted of lead guitarist Joe Elliot who went on to perform in the band Ded Leppard.

Gwen Ever is Deal Radio's very own rock n roll burlesque drag queen, who originally came into DR as a guest in October 2016 on the DJ Roughman show, and enjoyed the experience so much, she stayed to bring the world, her very own "A Low life In High Heels With Gwen Ever" radio show.

Since Slade released Mama Weer All Crazee Now in 1972, I have always been drawn towards the “rockier” genres of music. My teenage years were spent listening to Alan “Fluff” Freeman on the radio, which broadened my taste and also gave me an awareness and appreciation of classical music, due to his use of it in show jingles. I’d also like to think that he’s had an effect on the way I present Headz Up.

Born in Bradford (a long time ago), Lee wanted to be playing music for as long as he can remember. After leaving school he became a well-known and much-followed DJ in leading nightclubs in the North, working with impresarios like Peter Stringfellow to open several ground-breaking venues. After marrying, he needed to get a ‘proper job’ more suited to family life and spent some years in Germany working in the travel industry. Returning to the UK and Kent his career took another turn, this time as product development manager for Pilkington Glass and other manufacturers in the industry
