      Enhurtu Emergency

      Enhertu, a life-extending drug for certain women with incurable HER2-low secondary breast cancer, has been rejected for use on the NHS in England.

      This means thousands of women will be denied access to a drug that could have given them the hope of more time to live.

      Closing the Loop Dover

      Free 10-week programme starting Saturday 9th March with 20 fully-funded places available

      For artists, makers, activists, entrepreneurs and the eco-curious. A series of free events, trips and experiences for young people aged 16 – 30.

      At the moment, the number deaths by suicide in England and Wales is sitting at just under 6000. Every week, 115 people die by suicide in the UK – with 75% of those deaths being male (ONS). 

      Suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the country.

      Goodwin Sands trust

      The sands are a historical landmark, which is the final resting place of many seafarers and airmen.  They provide a natural coastline defence, a haven for wildlife and are in fragile environment balance.

      The conservation trust wants to raise awareness and conserve the area.

      WALMER LIFEBOAT STATION

      Since a lifeboat station at Walmer was established in 1856, crews have received 28 awards for gallantry. Today, the station operates two inshore lifeboats – a B class Atlantic 85 and a smaller D class and guards the southern half of the Goodwin Sands and the Downs.

      Golf Road Community Centre

      Golf Road Community Centre, in the heart of North Deal, is a modern, energy efficient, accessible, purpose-built centre offering rooms for hire for the benefit of the residents of North Deal and the wider community.

      Facilities include the well-respected and great-value Skylight Café, state of the art display equipment, light and airy hire spaces and much more.

      There are a range of activities on offer from Yoga and Tai Chi to art classes and our increasingly popular Thursday evening community get-together.
