Deal Area Foodbank and Pantry
The Pantry is a community store that provides affordable groceries and household items for local residences who have been struggling to pay for food shopping and other essentials.
For a small fee members can do a weekly shop worth many times more, helping to soften the blow of the cost-of-living crisis. The Pantry will also serve as a neighbourhood hub, where members can access other forms of support from local services.

The Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards is an annual event to showcase the people, organisations and initiatives that help us cope with life.

Nominations can be linked to a simple act of kindness that lifted the spirits, a business that improved staff wellbeing, through to a targeted initiative delivered by a charity of statutory organisation to support a mental health issue.

Kent and Medway has been selected for a pilot programme to address high smoking rates and lung cancer mortality in the area.
Targeted Lunch Health Checks are offered to current and ex-smokers aged between 55 and 74, patients invited by letter to have a check or those who are eligible based on their GP record. Stop smoking support and other health improvement advice is also available.

Since a lifeboat station at Walmer was established in 1856, crews have received 28 awards for gallantry. Today, the station operates two inshore lifeboats – a B class Atlantic 85 and a smaller D class and guards the southern half of the Goodwin Sands and the Downs.
Golf Road Community Centre, in the heart of North Deal, is a modern, energy efficient, accessible, purpose-built centre offering rooms for hire for the benefit of the residents of North Deal and the wider community.
