The Jazz On The Beach family is expanding in June with a new bi-weekly blues radio show.

Nine months after the launch of the Jazz On The Beach radio show, Deal Radio announces the birth of Blues Beach, a new bi-weekly radio show on air every other Thursday from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.

Presented by J.O.T.B.’s Adam Sieff, Blues Beach will dig deep into the rich legacy of the electric and country blues masters and the contemporary blues artists who carry the torch.

“The blues is the cornerstone of rock, jazz, soul and modern music as we know it, the Muddy Waters song ‘The Blues Had A Baby And They Named It Rock And Roll’ says it all. If you like B.B. King, Albert Collins, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Jimmy Vaughan, Robert Johnson and Ronnie Earl, you’ll be sure to enjoy Blues Beach”.

"I’ve often thought about doing a radio show like this ever since seeing the Clint Eastwood movie ‘Play Misty For Me’. I’m inspired by the Japanese Jazz Kissaten (Jazz Cafe) culture and Detective Harry Bosch’s consummate music taste, and want to play great jazz music that’s welcoming to new listeners who may not know know much about the genre but are curious to try some"
