Queen of Clubs, Debby Lee is widely recognised as one of the leading lights and pioneers of club culture in the UK
For over 40 years Debby has worked in the dance music, arts and entertainment industry as a club promoter, label owner, writer and a multi-award-winning music documentary maker.
Best known in music for the venues she operated and promoted land-mark club-nights such as BANG! /G-A-Y (founder) and as a music programmer/promoter at famous clubs such as Heaven, The London Astoria, The Cross, she has an unrivalled knowledge of the history of the London club scene.
Most notably her career highs saw Debby set up the Iconic Bagley’s Studios from 1988-2000 and for bringing the world-famous Pacha to the UK as the first franchisee of the superclub outside of Ibiza.
As a well-known ambassador of UK dance culture, her friendships and collaborations some of the best loved DJ’s, producers and club-land promoters makes for the perfect guest list to join her for 90 minutes of chat and music on her first radio show for Deal Radio. Debby Lee’s Desert Island Disco will launch in May 2025.
Each show will focus on one legendary guest, who will be invited to answer the 10 famous questions on their careers, inspirations, favourite venues, memorable gigs and of course hear the music that made them ,and that defines their tastes and talent.
Debby will be talking to Paul Oakenfold, Dave Pearce, Lisa Loud, Nancy Noise, Fat Tony, Keith Reilly (founder of Fabric), Mark Moore, Brandon Block, JP of Universal, Martin Green (Smashing, Kirk Field (author of RAVE NEW WORLD), Dan Prince (founder of Mixmag and DMC), Dawn Hindle Manumission/Ibiza Rocks, Dave Behr (Back to Basics), Danny Gould (Clockwork Orange), Steve Smith (Dirty Vegas), Jim Stanton (Horse Meat Disco), Shovel (M People) who will join her as guests in the
first season.
