A New Deal Radio

Deal Radio’s Relaunch was the talk of the town on Sunday 21st Nov with visitors near and far dropping into both the Open Studio in the afternoon and then onto the live Acoustic Set Party at The Cin Cin Bar, Deal.

Presenters, Directors and the Production/Tech Team welcomed all guests to the Deal Radio Studios in the Landmark Centre. All participants were invited in to get a feel for presenting, producing, editing, or simply to participate in ‘a Day in the life of’ Deal Radio.

Later that evening the studio literally transferred to Cin Cin Bar, where the fun continued with a LIVE broadcast and party event – Bradley Bogus Holbrook kicked off a live acoustic set with his legendary laid back folk sound, then followed by Carl Street performing his usual eclectic and vibrant set.

The party really got underway when ‘The Circus Birds’ headed to the stage. Their original sound is electrifying and powerful, varying from distorted, upbeat songs that make you want to dance, to melodic tunes that capture you in the moment. These four know how to put on a show and their main goal is to leave the audience mesmerised – they certainly achieved this as they blew the crowd away.

Finally, The Measure a five-piece blues, shuffle rock band really rocked the venue. With virtuoso Blues harp from Dave Hallam and soulful Sax from Paul Tallent, this band veritably squeezed their sound and stage presence into the venue. With masterful guitar and vocals from the legendary Jim Green ably assisted in the rhythm section by Bass player extraordinaire Kevin Portch, and Fabio Bizzi keeping beat on his impressive drums – yes they did take up most of the stage!

At The Cin Cin Bar, Lisa Lauder welcomed visitors with her usual grace and style (this included the provision of sweets and a taster of the legendary DR Shmirbanger). Dancing and general rejoicing continued late into the night after the launch of the brilliant new brand and website. Special note must mention the Master Plan team consisting of Tony West, Studio Director and Producer and Michael Dearsley Producer/Web designer.
